Mark has a BFA and MS in printmaking, and an MFA in painting. Recent art works have focused on the landscape, real and conceptual, natural and man-made, with particular attention to interrelationships between those facets of landscape. The art works seek a synthesis of traditional linear perspective components with aerial views, map elements, photo collage, and mathematical/conceptual diagrams. Mary earned a BA in drawing and printmaking. Her drawings and prints are rich with biomorphic forms and often utilize patterns. They reveal a passion for that which is overlooked and/or fragile. Powerful, yet sensitive marks make these pieces expressive beyond their subjects. Independent research coupled with extensive experience has made her an expert in the ancient art practices of both Japanese Suminagashi and traditional Turkish marbling.
